Exam Revision Seminars

VCE Art Exam Seminar

Please note: The presentation and Q&A is for the attendance of VCE Art Educators only.

Our presenters will inspire you to provide your students with tips, tricks and strategies for preparing for the 2023 VCE Art Creative Practice and VCE Art Making and Exhibiting exams.  As this is the first year of the new study design, this seminar will focus on the types of questions that have been developed by the VCAA Trial Exam sample.

The VCE Art Creative Practice Exam Revision Seminar will be led by an expert educator Demi Nicolaidis. Demi has been the Learning Area Leader for visual arts at Templestowe College for 6 years and a member of the Curriculum Learning Group. Demi has taught visual arts for 25 years and has been teaching students at Templestowe College for the past 15 years. In 2023, Templestowe College won the Secondary Government School of the Year award. Demi is also a committee member for the Arts Advisory Committee at Manningham City Council and has been an exam assessor for VCAA for the past 6 years. In 2022, she also completed the Teachers Excellence Program with the Victorian Academy of Teaching and Leadership.

The VCE Art Making and Exhibiting Exam Revision Seminar will be led by Helen Attrill, an accomplished teacher, examiner and art gallery educator. With extensive teaching and assessment experience, Helen offers a unique perspective. Helen has taught Studio Arts since its inception in a variety of artforms at Rochester and Bendigo Senior Secondary Colleges and has been involved in contributing to the Victorian art education curriculum evolution through VCAA forums and leading regional meetings. As an Education Officer at Bendigo Art Gallery, she has delivered VCE Art: Making and Exhibiting programs and designed curriculum-aligned resources. Helen’s influence extends to Creative Victoria’s Advisory Panel, demonstrating her commitment to shaping the arts. As a consistent VCAA VCE Exam Marker, Helen’s presentation will be a valuable opportunity to take up to further support art educators and students.
