Zeta Wilson | Aboriginal Perspectives in Visual Arts and Media Arts

Product Description

Join Zeta Wilson, Project Manager from the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority  (VCAA) in her presentation; Aboriginal Perspectives in Visual Arts and Media Arts. This was presented as part of ArtEdVic’s 2020 Art Educators Conference.

This informative session is about exploring and making the connection of cultural perspectives and practices in respecting culture and histories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the Visual and Media Arts, Victorian Curriculum F-10. The participants will be given a starting point and a platform to begin their understanding of the protocols to guide teachers to incorporate Aboriginal perspectives in a localised and Victorian context. This will inform your practice and your engagement and involvement with Aboriginal artists.

Zeta Wilson will give her thoughts in connecting the cultural perspectives and practices of Maree Clarke’s artwork and the importance of respecting culture and linking this back to the Victorian Curriculum.
