Experience and Representation: Approaches to learning in the Visual Arts | Deakin University

Monday, September 11 2017, 1.30 – 4.30pm

Searby Studio (HD2.006.1 – Behind SAGE Café) Deakin University Burwood Campus.

This Professional Development Day has been designed to connect artists at Deakin University with those who teach art in a variety of contexts. In two practical workshops drawn directly from the artists’ practice you will work collaboratively and critically to explore the relationship between new and old technologies, embodied experience and representation.

PLEASE NOTE: You do not have to be a practicing artist to attend this professional development event as the workshops are designed to be accessible for all participants. It is our hope that engagement in the workshops will provoke you to think in and through your professional practice as an artist and/or educator. Participants will receive a Certificate identifying relevant alignments with the Australian Professional Standards for Registered Teachers.
