Creative Practice Forum – “We the Makers”

Tuesday 25 July, 10.00am – 1.30pm

COST: $20 per student (educators free)

Are your students interested in a career in the creative industries? In this half day forum students (Year 10 and above) from across the region will meet and learn from a choice of finalists in We the Makers.

Through Q&As and practical workshops, students will gain insight into the finalist’s creative processes including their approach to research, business model, experimentation, and realisation of the outfit on display.

Learning Objectives:

• Identify and describe how aesthetic qualities, art elements and principles, materials and techniques have been used to develop and communicate ideas

• Discuss the range of influences which inform the development of students’ ideas and artworks

• Build confidence necessary to meet the requirements of VCE Art Creative Practice and VCE Art Making and Exhibiting study designs
