Critical & Creative Thinking in the Visual Arts: Future Eaters

Critical & Creative Thinking in the Visual Arts: Future Eaters

Thursday 14 September 2017, 9.30-3pm

Join us in the galleries at MUMA during Future Eaters and develop your skills in scaffolding deep conversations around contemporary art.

Art Education Victoria (AEV) and Monash University Museum of Art (MUMA) are collaborating to deliver a program focussed on the intrinsic links between Critical and Creative Thinking and the Visual Arts.

Galleries and art classrooms present an ideal context for students to develop skills in problem-solving and critical reflection. The program will unpack the links between the Critical and Creative Thinking and Visual Arts curricula, exploring how each can support the other.

Throughout the day teachers will explore a range of renowned research-based strategies including Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) and Artful Thinking developed at MOMA and Harvard University.

Cost: $120 non-members, $80 AEV members (log in or join to obtain the discount)
