3D CLAY PRINTING WITH ALTERFACT STUDIO | Heide Education

Heide Education is excited to launch this workshop series, facilitated by the highly skilled and innovative artists of Alterfact Studio, in association with An Idea Needing to be Made: Contemporary Ceramics.

In this three hour intensive workshop, students will design and print their own 3D clay objects. The workshop will cover two stages of the making process: digital design and clay printing. Students will design a 3D shape using free online software, prepare the model for printing, mix clay to the correct consistency, and pack cartridges before printing on Alterfact’s custom 3D clay printers. This workshops is available for secondary students, and is especially suitable for those studying VCE Studio Arts.

Workshops will be held at 10am to 1pm and 2 to 5pm on the following dates:

Thursday 15 August
Friday 16 August
Tuesday 20 August
Wednesday 21 August
Thursday 22 August
Friday 23 August

Student capacity for each 3 hour workshop is 15, to ensure meaningful participation and guidance.

The fee for each workshop is $525 ($35 per student in a group of 15).

Students need to bring their own laptop.
