Morning | Teacher as Artist

Ten exhibiting contemporary Melbourne artists have put their hands up to work with you. They were inspired by their art teachers, now it’s their opportunity to inspire you. You’ll learn exciting new skills, techniques and knowledge for your 2017 classroom. Choose who you want to work with for an immersive three hour workshop at the home of art education, the Victorian College of the Arts.

Afternoon | Hannah Bertram + Design Thinking for your Classroom

Renowned contemporary artist Hannah Bertram will talk about her 2017 exhibition at the Margaret Lawrence Gallery. Hannah’s practice investigates the ambiguity of value, the transformation of worthless materials and the passing of time.

Then take a dive into design thinking and learn how this creative problem solving framework can help you solve the most challenging problems you face in the classroom.

Evening | David Hockney + NGV Friday Nights

Pulling out all the stops, we’re finishing off the day at NGV International with David Hockney: Current. You can dance the night away at NGV Friday Nights with Melbourne art rock icon Olympia and DJ Laila Sakini.
