Bayside Gallery | Visual Thinking Strategies

Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) is an inquiry based teaching methodology that encourages critical and creative thinking through looking at art. You will engage deeply with artworks, whilst building visual literacy, observation, empathy, diplomacy and communication skills.

Presented by experienced VTS trainer, coach and facilitator Christine Healey, this workshop is suitable for teachers of all subjects and enhances classroom teaching strategies and curriculum for those seeking a deeper engagement with the VTS method.

VTS has been proven to strengthen students’ oral communications, literacy and creative and analytical skills among students of all ages.

Teachers will gain the confidence to commence teaching VTS competently in their classrooms and communities.  Suitable for educators of all subjects and does not require specialist art knowledge or skills.

Workshop includes lunch and refreshments.
