Photography – Strength and Vulnerability.
Photography is a very popular artform for many students and Alicia, selected Photography for her focus theme, Strength and Vulnerability. Alicia explains her aim is to not see vulnerability as a weakness, but rather to acknowledge visually, that when we are open, we demonstrate an abundance of courage. Alicia speaks honestly about her own struggles developing a Studio Arts Folio. She clearly articulates ‘top tips’ on setting personal guidelines, that help set directions and encourage creative thinking. Alicia drew inspiration from a wide range of sources including TED talks, personal friends, viewing galleries, seeking help from her teacher, and choosing enjoyable projects and experimental processes. Alicia’s presentation reinforces for students how she found organisation and time management skills so important for developing a fabulous portfolio and final artworks.
