Educator Exclusive | Simon Grennan (Deakin University Art Gallery)

simon-grennanbJoin us for this small group (still) life drawing with Simon Grennan, Lecturer in Art and Performance, Faculty of Arts and Education, Deakin University. In addition to using Sam Jinks sculptures rather than live models, participants are invited to submit 1-2 drawings for a curated online exhibition of their work (DUAG Website and Social Media Channels). Please note: All materials will be provided by Deakin University Art Gallery as restrictions apply.

Simon Grennan is a Lecturer in Visual Arts at Deakin University where he teaches painting, drawing, printmaking, and contemporary art practice. Along with specialisa ons in traditional media his creative interests extend to video installation and collaborative art projects. Grennan holds a Bachelor degree in Visual Arts; a Master’s degree in Education and is currently completing a PhD which focuses on the relationship between landscape and consciousness. Currently his studio practice engages with the problem of representing the landscape in contemporary Australian painting.
