Defying Empire: Third National Indigenous Art Triennial Teacher PD | NGA

Defying Empire: Third National Indigenous Art Triennial surveys the contemporary practice of 30 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists from across the country, responding to the 50th Anniversary of the 1967 Referendum through a diverse group of works. The exhibition will be running until 10 September 2017.

Exhibition curator, Tina Baum, will first give an overview of themes and artists. The education team will then introduce the Defying Empire learning resource and facilitate interactive workshop tours investigating curriculum connections and strategies for engaging students with the exhibition.
