Join Duldig Studio in their Annual Lecture on Sculpture.
Dr Shawn Sobers will speak on the the ‘Material culture and the echoes and legacies of transatlantic enslavement – before and after the Colston statue.’ As Professor of Cultural Interdisciplinary Practice at the University of the West of England (UWE). He is a member of “We are Bristol History Commission” which was set up in 2020 in response to the toppling if the statue of Edward Colston, 17th Century English merchant, slave trader and member of parliament.
