Art Education Victoria, in partnership with the Department of Education Victoria, invites Foundation to Level 10 students in Victorian Government schools to create artworks celebrating meaningful relationships and connections—the ‘bridges’—between themselves and others in their community.

After completing the project, each school is encouraged to celebrate their students’ work by holding their own local exhibitions.

An online educator’s workshop to support delivery of The Bridges Between Us art project was held on Thursday 19 March 2026, from 4–5:30pm. Teacher Kits include the following:

  • Digital teacher’s kit: a complete guide for implementing the project (note: digital-only, not printed as originally planned).
  • Lesson plans: 6-week program for primary and 5-week program for secondary levels, aligned with the Victorian Curriculum 2.0 – Visual Arts and VTLM 2.0.
  • Artist case studies: 7 diverse examples showcasing artists whose work explores connection and community.
