Executive Officer | Art Education Victoria

Amelia is a dynamic arts leader with a proven track record of driving strategic initiatives in arts education and cultural management. As Executive Officer of Art Education Victoria, she works closely with the Board and lead a small but passionate team dedicated to empowering educators, enriching learning experiences, and advocating for the transformative power of visual arts in education.

Amelia has professional experience working across education, public programs, exhibitions, and the delivery of arts and cultural events. She joined Art Education Victoria from Museums Victoria, where she was a key member of the the Outreach Education Team at Melbourne Museum. Amelia combines strategic vision with hands-on implementation to develop innovative programs that connect diverse communities with meaningful arts experiences. She is deeply committed to making arts education accessible to all Victorians and building sustainable partnerships that amplify our collective impact.

Amelia holds a Bachelor of Art in Art History and Education from the University of Sydney. She was then granted a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) on academic merit to complete a Masters of Arts and Cultural Management at University of Melbourne, which was awarded in 2021. Her desire to cultivate inquisitive, inclusive, and creative communities evolved not only during her tertiary studies but also through her involvement in projects at Tarrawarra Museum of Art and RISING, along with volunteering her time at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, the Monkey Baa Theatre Company, the Other Art Fair and the Sydney Writers Festival.

Amelia’s leadership approach centres on collaboration, innovation, and advocacy, working alongside educators, artists, and stakeholders to create vibrant learning communities where creativity thrives. She is particularly passionate about regional engagement and developing programs that bridge geographical and social barriers to arts participation.
