Indigenous Learning Professional Development Session at McClelland Gallery
Join the McClelland Gallery team on Friday 10th June 2022 for a day of Indigenous learning with our First Nations Education and Programs Co-ordinator, Rebecca Robinson (Bunurong / Trawlwoolway), Sammie Trist artist and educator (Taungurung) and Koorie Education Support Officers (KESO) from the Department of Education and Training.

The session will run on Friday 10th June, from 9 am to 2.30 pm and includes morning break and lunch.

Who is it for?
The Encounters Program has been developed primarily for Middle and Upper Primary Schools. This PD is best suitable for Primary School Teachers, though it may be a good introduction or complement for other educators.
Program
Program highlights include:
- Sample our Encounters program* for students, including a guided walk in McClelland’s bushland and a contemporary art workshop with our First Nations Education and Programs Coordinator Rebecca.
- Presentation and information session with local Koorie Education Support Officers (KESO) from the Department of Education and Training.
- Session with Guest Speaker Sammy Trist, Taungurung artist and educator,
- Education Q&A session with Rebecca, Sammy and KESO’s.

Morning tea and Lunch are included, as well as access to the park on the day.
