Creative Sunday Morning with Maria from S & S

Come along and join ArtEdVic for a warm creative Sunday morning session with S&S Creativity Unlimited, who are offering product knowledge demonstrations on two universal products to Victorian schools.

The demonstrations will allow attendees to enhance their knowledge of traditional art making practices, to learn new techniques and also be introduced to the latest innovations from the dynamic world of art materials. This will enable teachers to impart the information and processes to their students.

Maria Dee, Art consultant for S & S will showcase many processes by sharing her skills in the following products.

Product 1: Brusho

Crystal powders that create bursts of vibrant colour. A unique transparent intermixable product of high pigmented water-colour crystals….and it’s water based.

Outcome: Your student will find this product truly amazing. Only a few grains of crystal powders are needed to create vibrant artworks. It can be pushed and pulled in so many directions allowing your students to experiment with backgrounds on any project.

Product 2: Gelli plate magazine transfer prints

This technique is designed to transfer images onto a range of surfaces to create layered artworks

Outcome: Your students will find this product unpredictable. By using the right amount of acrylic paint on your Gelli plate, your magazine choice, the process starts…layering is the key. It will encourage students to experiment. Learning the process, will expand their ideas to achieve one of kind resist printing.
